Alternative Energy

Brazil is going through an important phase of economic
development, both in the industrial sector as well as in services and
agro-business. The economy is being propelled by new gas and oil
discoveries, the growth in real estate and automobile sales,
investments in petrochemicals and the increased exportation of iron
ore, steel, coffee, paper and pulp, alcohol, marble and granite
exports, among others.

This development, however, demands an increased offer of electric
power, and especially energy from renewable sources.
